Hero Points Earning List

This page lists the how you can gain Hero Points on the show Heroes of the Mists.

Audience members and donors can gain "Hero Points" automatically by being in our Twitch channel, being active in the channel, being supportive of the show, tweeting/retweeting about RPG Research and/or Heroes of the Mist.

Audience members slowly earn these points while hanging out with a user account in our twitch chatroom while viewing our show when it is live.

They can earn them even faster through supporting the show, and the fastest method with the most customization options is by donating to RPG Research either with single donations through PayPal or or as many as 10 time as many points by supporting us monthly through our RPG Research Patreon.

One time donation = 50 Hero Points for every $5 (must be $5 increments). So $5 gives you 50 Hero Points, $10=100XP, etc. to affect the show!

NOTICE TO ALL PATREON SUPPORTERS: Monthly Patreon subscription: Each processed completed payment of $10/mo Patreon support automatically gets 1,000 Hero Points each month!

($20/mo = 2k, $30/mo = 3k, $40/mo = 4k, $50+/mo = 10k).

See our Audience Interaction Online Catalog for details on what you can spend your points on to have a nearly real-time impact on the live show campaign. (Note if you spend the points closer to the end of the show, we may have to implement your request on the following show session). If there becomes a large cue of requests, the GM may have to begin staggering the events/encounters out over time so that the game doesn't devolve into total chaos, in which case there might be a little more delay in your request showing up in the show, but ever effort will be made to implement as close to real-time as possible while keeping the show on track and not derailing the campaign too far.

Chatting productively in channel	10 Hero Points per hour	This is earned for productive chat in channel. (just don't spam) (moderator's discretion).
Useful commentary in channel or via social networks	+25 Hero Points bonus points per comment flagged as helpful	Retweeting/tweeting us, sharing on various social networks (needs to be verifiable by moderator), being helpfully active in the channel, nice comments, if positively flagged by the channel moderator (moderator's discretion), can earn you 25 bonus points.
Donations	50 Hero Points per $5 USD single donation	For every single (non-subscription) one-time $5 USD donated to RPG Research, once donation processing is confirmed, you gain 50 Hero Points per $5 USD. No upper limit on the amount you may donate. No limit on how often you donate. All donations go toward the non-profit organization RPG Research, furthering RPG Research's community and research programs.
