SCHEDULE

Heroes of the Mist is a an audience interactive live tabletop role-playing game show broadcast weekly, Sundays from 7-10 pm (Pacific Time) on http://twitch.tv/rpgresearch

PURPOSE

The show is provided as entertainment and to raise awareness about role-playing games and as a fundraiser for the 501(c)3 non-profit charitable research and human services organization RPG Research.

AUDIENCE INTERACTION

The audience can influence the show in nearly real-time, by accumulating and spending “Heroe Points" (HP), to add a wide range of “random encounters” and “randome events” for the PCs. Audience members can accumulate HP through loitering in the Twitch chatroom, and through other methods, including supportive comments, referring friends, or donating to RPG Research to gain HP the fastest: Donate to RPG Research Now.

REAL-TIME ARTIST

The show will also have artists drawing the described scenes real-time, as the story unfolds, and there will be ambient scenes on the green screen behind the players.

GAME SYSTEM

We will be using Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st Edition, with a wide range of customizations from Dragon Magazine and more.

MULTIVERSE CAMPAIGN SETTING

The campaign setting, Worlds of Beru, created by Hawke Robinson has been used with hundreds of players over a 30 year span. This is a multiverse setting. Beginning in a classic Arthurian style fantasy setting, but the fabric of the multiverse is thin, and many other possibilities and settings will unfold as the players continue.
